What are essential requirements for marine cameras? 

Marine surveillance cameras are used for monitoring and security purposes in marine environments such as vessels, ports, harbors and coastal areas. There are some essential requirements listed below for a marine surveillance  camera used in this field. 

* High level in weatherproof and waterproof to withstand harsh marine environments, including rain, saltwater, and high winds. 

* Corrosion-resistant: The camera's housing and mounting brackets should be made of materials that are resistant to corrosion from saltwater.

* Pan-tilt-zoom functionality is essential to enable operators to focus on targets quickly as it is used in a wide range.

* The camera should have infrared (IR or laser) capabilities to capture clear images in low-light conditions.​

* The camera should be compatible or integrated with other security systems, such as alarms and other sensors.

* The camera should have WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) which is essential for capturing clear images in  environments with high contrast, such as those with bright sunlight and deep shadows.

* The camera should be designed to operate reliably on marine vessels and adapt to the instability of the power, including during rough sea conditions.
